Phospho-Stat5 |
Description |
Purpose |
Detection and quantification of phosphorylated Stat5 on Tyrosine 694. |
Services |
AQUA staining multiplexed with cytokeratin |
Introduction |
Stat5 (Signal transducer and activator of transcription 5) functions both in signal transduction and activation of transcription. It has been found that cytoplasmic Stat5 is translocated to the nucleus in response to phosphorylation. Stat5 is tyrosine phosphorylated in response to various factors including growth hormone and prolactin. Tyrosine phosphorylation is required for DNA-binding activity and dimerization. Serine phosphorylation is also required for maximal transcriptional activity. |
Specificity |
The antibody will only detect Stat5 phosphorylated on Tyrosine 694. |
Staining Interpretation |
The staining pattern of Phospho-Stat5 is nuclear, with limited cytoplasmic staining. |
